Slimming World update: 3/5/15

Slimming World

1. Spaghetti and meatballs, 2. Spicy chicken “fakewawy” 3. Blueberries and overnight oats, 4. Slow-cooker lasagne, 5. SW burgers, 6. Diet Coke chicken with fried rice and peppers.

This week on plan

Basically, I wasn’t on plan at all since my last weigh in. Work has been so busy and I’ve been having a terrible time trying to balance everything – meaning that I often go without eating until it was too late. And then I ate everything.

I’m really frustrated with myself. I know the plan works – I’ve seen it work. And I enjoy the food. So why can’t I just stick with it? Plus, I do stupid things like buy small packs of popcorn to snack on, and then eat five packs in one sitting, rather than just one.

My favourite thing I ate this week

We had spicy chicken from the Fakeaways book. It’s one of my favourite meals and we always have it with beans, corn and other sides to make it really seem like a SW-friendly version of KFC.

Weigh-in

One pound on. To be honest, I’m so annoyed with myself for gaining again, but I also feel like I got away with something, as I really was terrible last week.

Next week, I’d like to…

Get a BIG loss. I’m feeling pretty motivated and I’m going to do my best to stick with the SP version of the plan for the week. I think I need a boost and something to make me think about the plan a bit more, as I’ve been very complacent recently.

My consultant also gave me a “For and Against” list to fill out. So I’ll try do to that at some point.

    • I’m sorry about your gain this week – hopefully next week will be better. I definitely recommend the fakeaway chicken. It’s delicious!

  2. Dieting is such an uphill struggle, I don’t know why we put ourselves through it. Your meals look lush which just makes me think about eating haha xx

    • It’s funny that looking at diet food can make you want to eat more. šŸ™‚ I think that’s why I like Slimming World so much – you really can eat as much as you want – it just has to be the right stuff. Thanks for commenting!

  3. Thanks for sharing your meals. I am always tempted to buy the fakeaway book – is it good?

I maintained last week and this weekend I’ve been to a wedding (where the food was pastries followed by chocolate cake!) so I’m not holding out much hope for this week’s jump on the scales either.

I have been finding it tough because I am denying myself things I love and only maintaining which I’m frustrated with. Hopefully I can get my motivation back.

We had your diet coke chicken again tonight – it was yummo.

    • The Fakeaway book is okay – especially if you like curries, but there are only a couple of recipes that I use.

Wedding food is amazing, but not very diet friendly, is it? But, it’s only a day, so hopefully it won’t have much of an effect!

I don’t think you should feel like you’re denying yourself anything. Make sure you’re using your syns! That’s the whole point of them. Maybe there are substitutes you could make instead?

So glad you’re enjoying my DC chicken. It’s definitely a favourite around here!

  4. Good luck with staying focussed this week. I find instagram can be quite inspiring if I’m a bit stuck x
